’cause i don’t shine if you don’t shine.

hello dolls, melinda here. how are you!? long time no speak and all. i’ve finally got blogs working on both pastel smash and rock & redbeard, which is epic and a first for me. i have spent all day working on just rock & redbeard. i had to basically go through and recode the whole site due to a php upgrade. it was what i needed to push me into spending more time here anyways, i have put up a brand new layout, in a 3 column style like on pastel smash, which i adore. it’s clean and accessible.

this blog i intend to be a bit more upbeat than my semi-depressing blog on pastel smash. so here it goes.
today we got out of school for snow again. it’s been consecutively a week since we were supposed to start back for the winter/spring semester. i’m trying to enjoy every minute of it, lounging around in my pj’s listening to altnation on sirius xm, i love it. so the other day i repremanded my niece for making a statement on her facebook about actually wanting to go back to school, an 8th grader wanting to go back to school!? it’s not like she’s a kindergartner who gets to play and nap all day, even i would want to go back if i was in kindergarten. i’m a senior and high school and dread going back. it’s pure torture, the only reason i would want to go back is to just get it all over with. how do you feel about school? do you enjoy it? do you loathe it like me?

my dad’s been gone for two and a half weeks. he’s away interning for a truck driving company. my mom and i miss him bunches. none of us even know when he’s going to come back, and the worst part is, my parents keep bugging me to do stuff. my mom comes in every other day asking me to make her a 30 second ringtone of some lovey-dovey song that reminds her of dad so she can send them to him, and dad has me taking pictures of mom to send to him. it’s like i’m on the wrong end of a lifetime movie. i love lifetime. (:
